Responsibilities
Is responsible for and performs those duties consistent with the recognized scope of practice for Licensed Vocational Nursing. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the Organization. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support the Organizations strategic plan and the goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).

Qualifications
Minimum Requirment
Education and Experience:
- Graduation from an accredited school of licensed vocational nursing
Licensure:
- Current California LVN License
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
Preferred:
- PALS
- ACLS
Knowledge of professional skills within scope of practice for licensed vocational nursing Knowledge of appropriate organizational policies, regulations, and procedures to administer patient care Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment Skill in recording medical and other pertinent information provided by the patient Experienced LVN's act as preceptors for new LVN's hired into the clinic system Skill in preparing and maintaining medical records Skill in maintaining effective working relations with patients, clinical staff, and public Skill in training of unlicensed nursing /medical assistants Ability to maintain quality control standards Ability to react calmly and provide effective medical care in emergency situations Ability to communicate clearly Adaptability to change in procedures Able to work with frequent interruptions Requires working under stress in emergency situations Irregular hours Frequent interruptions Periodic travel to clinics and/or hospital During environmental disaster or mass casualty events, the employee may be required to work in outside weather conditions and become exposed to a cold, wet and/or humid environment
