Payroll and Benefits Specialist

We are looking for a Payroll and Benefits Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for processing payroll and supporting benefits administration.

The ideal person for this position has a proven customer service mindset and will work on projects across the employee lifecycle, including benefits administration and payroll processing.

Responsibilities: 

• Processing Payroll, including Calculate Pay (gross to net), Starting the Payroll Cycle, Entering Payroll Information, Verifying Information, Previewing Payroll, and Accepting Payroll.
• Using ADP Workforce Now or another Payroll system will be responsible for Distribute Pay, Deposit Taxes, reconciling and reporting, Managing PTO Banks, and government reporting.
• Administrating Benefit Systems, including weekly audits, file uploads, and ACA reporting.
• Managing Unemployment Claims, Employment Verification and various government reporting and maintaining employee files.
• Perform customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions. 
• Run and disseminate reports by assembling, preparing, and analyzing data.
• Other projects as assigned.
• Promotes goodwill and conveys a positive image of Market Enginuity.

Requirements: 

• Minimum of 1 - 3 years of payroll and benefit experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience with HRMS/HRIS systems, and ADP Workforce Now is a plus.
• Strong MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook skills.
• Must have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills are needed.
• The qualified candidate will be detail-oriented, able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, professional, and able to exercise proper judgment.
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
• Thorough knowledge of payroll and benefit-related laws and regulations.
