JOB SUMMARY
The Billing Analyst will perform all duties associated with the receipt and payment of vendor invoices in a timely and accurate manner. May provide guidance to other team members and work with minimal supervision to support the sales, manufacturing and administrative functions. Responsible for performing tasks associated with general accounting duties such as monitoring sales, billing and invoice charges. Calculates and processes sales commission reports. Interfaces with supervision and line employees to ensure accounting functions are performed efficiently within quality specifications.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reviews and verifies all vendor invoices against purchase orders and receiving documentation for accuracy and completeness, enters invoices into system for payment.
- Processes check requests ensuring all appropriate documentation and approvals have been received.
- Reconciles appropriate accounting reports; Maintains vendor statements and files.
- Processes employee expense reports and verifies appropriate approvals.
- Calculates and processes sales commission reports.
- Performs problem-solving tasks regarding Purchase Orders and Invoices.
- Must have adequate reasoning skills - must be able to apply common sense and understanding to job related duties.
- Must be team oriented - a team player, willing to work for the good of the total team.
- Assist manager with plant record keeping functions.
- Must have reliable transportation, be able to work days, nights, weekdays, weekends, holidays and willing to work overtime when needed.
- Flexibility & Adaptability – Ability to quickly learn & apply information; Must be versatile and be able to shift from one job to another.
- Oral Communication - Ability to express information and ideas to individuals as well as groups; must be able to communicate in a professional manner to both employees and supervisors. Must be able to carry out detailed written and oral communications without bias.
- Relieves other accounting and administration staff for breaks and absences.
- Maintain level of housekeeping that complies with company standards.
- Comply with work and safety rules
- Any and all other duties assigned by the manager.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- H.S. diploma or equivalent and specialized classes beyond high school; associate's degree preferred.
- Requires technical knowledge, training and understanding of a job’s requirements. Typically possesses
- 5-7 year relevant work experience.
- Advanced Excel skills
- Ability to create process documentation
Preferred Skills
- Ability to work in a busy work center performing multiple task simultaneously
- Must be at work on time as scheduled; Must be willing to work nights, weekends and overtime
- Ability to add subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volumes, weights and measures.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
