The Opportunity:

 

The Sales Analytics Manager transforms Marketlab's raw data into business insights that are useful for decision making and strategic planning. They partner with IT and leverage their in-depth industry knowledge to draw relevant insights and utilize complex statistical models and algorithms to deliver strategies for effective data analysis and insights. 

This role reports to the Director, Sales Operations. 

Functional/Technical Competencies:

  • Data Analytics: Ability to gather and analyze data from a number of different sources/platforms related to sales metrics, goals and performance, and translate it into actionable insights for Marketlab's sales growth strategies.

  • Business Acumen: Ability to quickly identify/understand relevant information in the datasets, analyze information as it relates to Marketlab's strategies and tactics, and make actionable recommendations.

  • Project Management: Ability to develop and maintain project plans including scope, tasks, assignments, timeline, dependencies, and risk.

Behavioral Competencies:

  • Communication: Use confident speech and body language to present clear, concise information surrounding Marketlab's sales analytics to the Marketlab team. Demonstrated ability to translate data / analyses into visualizations such as graphs, charts etc. which business stakeholders and customers can easily understand.

  • Creative Problem-Solving: Anticipate potential challenges related to market conditions and our pricing models.  Think outside of the box to find the best ways to solve them.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proactively keep cross-functional teams up-to-date on data findings, market trends, etc. so that the company can consistently meet internal and external customers needs.

What You’ll Do:

  • Extract useful data and other valuable information

  • Design processes for data analysis

  • Create tools for the sales team to gain actionable customer insights

  • Proactively manage monthly, quarterly, and annual commission reporting

  • Analyze and evaluate sales metrics, goals, and performance

  • Develop reporting and analytics that support planning

  • Oversee implementation of KPIs and scoreboards

  • Prepare and presents performance and operating reports

  • Lead and support project based initiatives involving sales reporting and strategies 

  • Forecast sales performance by brand, territory and organization

  • Communicate results and findings to senior management

What You’ll Need:

The ideal candidate will have experience with including but not limited to:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience

  • Sound knowledge of quantitative and qualitative data analysis methods

  • Deep knowledge in data mining and modeling

  • Proficient in MS Office and analytics tools

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Outstanding analytical, organizational, collaboration and communication skills

  • Knowledge with business intelligence tools such as Tableau and SAS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Computer Science, or related field; MBA preferred

  • Proven ability to lead a project team for short and long-term engagements

  • Ability to keep abreast of industry trends and develop dynamic analysis tools

  • Advanced ability to present sales analysis reports to relevant stakeholders
