Rental Inventory Repair Technician

Position Summary
Markey's, a multi-state leading provider n audio-visual services, is seeking a full-time Repair Technician. The Repair Technician will support the Rental Inventory department by assessing and repairing equipment, as well as working with vendors and suppliers as needed. Will also handle administrative responsibilities related to equipment such as managing vendor accounts and recording repair activities/progress.
This is a full-time, hourly (non-exempt) position with typical daytime hours Monday-Friday, although occasional evening and weekend work as business dictates.

Position Responsibilities*

1. Work with Department Heads to evaluate broken inventory to determine best course of repair.
2. Repair inventory in-house when possible.
3. Order parts and supplies for equipment repairs as needed.
4. Work with vendors to repair equipment beyond in house repairs (RMA).
5. Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
6. Record all QC/Repair comments in R2.
7. Maintain purchase orders efficiently to keep accounts in good standing.
8. Set up and manage vendor portals and accounts.
9. Manage yearly truss and motor inspections.
10. Complete inventory projects as assigned by the Director.
11. Work with Inventory Control (IC) to inventory and case new gear.
12. Work with IC to solve overdue and missing gear issues.
13. Obtain inventory information for the Director, IC and R2 Administrator as requested
14. Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Director.
Position Requirements

Good knowledge and understanding of all types of A/V equipment; desire to learn Markey's inventory at a deeper level.

• Experience with repairing A/V equipment; technical certifications a plus.
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively and professionally with Markey's vendors and internal customers.
• Must have high attention to detail, high accuracy in tasks, and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively.
• Excellent computer aptitude and thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office software – Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Ability to learn R2 system.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment, as well as independently, and follow directions from the supervisor.
• Must maintain a good driving record that meets driver insurability requirements, and pass an in-house forklift exam and driver skills test.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance
