Description:

Markon is seeking a mid-level TS/SCI-cleared cyber/ information assurance/ information system security officer specialist to be located in the Quantico area supporting a Department of Defense client. There is little to no flexibility for telework due to system-specific requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Minimal to no telework options
• Monitor authentication efforts of multiple classified and unclassified information systems
• Performing a variety of technical, and non-technical Cyber Security duties that include but are not limited to:
• Training, and assisting users of information systems to ensure security procedures are followed.
• Investigating issues of concern through technical reviews, interviews, or other appropriate investigative steps.
• Conducting technical compliance assessments of information systems in accordance with established standards.
• Coordinating with system administrators, ISSMs, and information system owners to remediate vulnerabilities.
• Under the guidance of the ISSM and Senior ISSO, create or maintain policies, procedures, diagrams, or artifacts needed in support of ATO package submissions.
• Conducting technical compliance assessments of information systems in accordance with established standards.
• Provide regular reporting of updates and status on work to the Sr. ISSO.

Required:

• TS/SCI
• Must have 8570 IAM L1 (Security CE or equivalent)
• Experience with STIG analysis/mitigation statements/POAM
• Formal assessment (IVV and CCRI)
• XACTA/MCAST experience
• Familiar with RMF
• Familiar choosing and addressing security controls
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required.
