The franchisee controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including the selection and hiring process. If you accept a position at this hotel you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International.
JOB SUMMARY
The Sales Manager/CS Manager is responsible for increasing hotel revenue by proactively meeting with travel agencies, reservation makers, corporate accounts, individuals, or other markets to promote the hotel and secure additional sales, while detailing client programs and delegating it to the hotel team via BEO’s and Group Resume’s.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides professional and courteous guest service at all times
- Makes personal sales calls
- Implements approved sales plan
- Develops innovative sales and marketing techniques
- Searches for and develops potential property markets
- Creates and distributes in-house advertising and promotional campaigns
- Maintains hotel competitive analysis statistical information
- Networks and maintains relations with local civic groups and associations
- Contacts in-house guests, group leaders, and meeting planners to promote good will and garner additional business
- Maintains current filing system and prepares reports (Sales Call Reports, Internal Sales Reports, etc.)
- Follows up on progress of booked groups by monitoring room night pick-up, rooming lists and cut off dates
- Attends daily sales and weekly team meetings
- Acts as Manager On Duty when scheduled
- Handles customer inquiries and lead requests for groups (e.g., Full Service, 10-150 peak room nights) within predefined Group Sales parameters.
- Works with customers to align customer preferences with brand needs and actively up-sells each business opportunity to maximize revenues and drive customer loyalty.
- Verifies that business is delegated properly and in a timely fashion with BEO’s, diagrams if needed and resumes, for quality service delivery.

- Participates in ongoing education and training of Franchise and Hotel Management Company
