The Manager, Intermediary Compensation Programs is a key member of the Intermediary Partner Support team, supporting Marriott's Consumer Operations vision and mission through specific initiatives and activities designed to support and enhance Marriott's competitive advantage within the intermediary segment. The position will be responsible for managing the implementation, conversion, and change management of Marriott's modern growth platform for Marriott's Centralized Intermediary Compensation Programs - encompassing travel agencies, group intermediaries, Travel Management Company (TMC), Online Travel Agency (OTA) and Digital Marketing compensation programs - which process over $1B annually in intermediary compensation and drive topline revenue for Marriott Bonvoy hotels.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience Required
- 4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 3 years' experience in the business, sales and marketing, training, management operations, or related professional area.
OR
- 5-year graduate degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, or related major; no work experience required.
Experience and Skills Preferred
- Experience with large technology initiatives and processes needed to support delivery and ongoing support.
- Excellent project management experience with technical projects and aptitude
- Strong analytical skills and analytic tool proficiency (e.g., Excel) to ground decision making and problem solving
- Ability to influence effectively with others in a cross-functional team
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Brand/Hotel Activation
- Identify, document and manage the conversion activities required for Marriott's centralized intermediary compensation programs related to the MGP transition.
- Work closely with MGP cross-functional transition, change management & communication teams.
- Provide subject matter expertise to support the implementation processes and system infrastructure changes/enhancements that achieve strategic and operational objectives.
- Participate in cross-functional implementation teams to outline plans and lead efforts to integrate hotels into Marriott's Intermediary compensation programs. Collaborate with iT on gathering requirements and providing oversight of technical integration and activation into CTAC.
- Oversee aspects of the conversion process to ensure seamless transition without introducing unnecessary cost to hotels or unnecessary work to Intermediary Partner Care.
- Work with program owners to coordinate implementation of CTAC-facilitated initiatives and programs.
Commission Program Management
- Manage systems and processes associated with the Centralized Travel Agency, Group Intermediary, and/or OTA/Digital Compensation Programs.
- Monitor programs to ensure system and programs follow security & financial standards and internal audit guidelines and deliver regular reporting on findings to department lead.
- Collaborate with internal and external global stakeholders to understand and execute operational needs and/or implementation of system enhancements related to intermediary compensation.
- Serve as primary contact with external vendor management to ensure they are meeting services levels, to manage escalated challenges, etc.
- Manage efforts to implement opportunities to improve technical solutions that create efficiencies and reduce costs.
- Create and maintain documentation for all business processes, user training and UAT scenarios/results validation related to system enhancements and business process changes
- Troubleshoot system issues in collaboration with Global Technology partners and manage efforts for successful resolution.
- Support Intermediary Partner Care for system and process-related questions across all intermediary compensation programs.
- Integrate strategic intermediary partners into compensation programs.
- Performs other duties as appropriate.
Commission Program Subject Matter Expert
- Serve as a subject matter expert for sales/distribution leaders, interfacing systems, and other key intermediary compensation stakeholders.
- Provide subject matter expertise and support for the CTAC application and all aspects of feeder and interfacing systems.
- Collaborate with internal and external global stakeholders to support operational needs and/or on implementing system enhancements related to intermediary compensation.
- Manage or participate in cross-functional teams to define and implement processes and system enhancements.
- Document business process flows, UAT scenarios, and validate results for system enhancements.
- Troubleshoot system issues in collaboration with Global Technology and manage efforts for successful resolution.
- Support Intermediary Partner Care for escalated process-related questions across all intermediary compensation programs.

New York City & Westchester County, NY Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $98,644.00 to $174,271.00 annually.
Washington Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $81,525.00 to $174,271.00 annually. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible to receive an annual bonus. Employees will accrue 0.4616 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 7 holidays annually.
