What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bin Hauler position at Mars?
The primary duties and responsibilities of this position include:
- Supply the flexible lines with meats in the proper quantity and quality.
- Use powered vehicles to transport materials to various areas.
- Knows and follows all Safety, GMP's, and Best Practices.
- Maintain excellent sanitation/housekeeping levels throughout the area..
- Verify that quality of raw materials conform to specifications. Perform quality audits and adhere to SQP guidelines.
- Help ensure that new associates in the area receive proper skills and safety training.
- Can perform the essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Must be able to adapt to temperature and environmental extremes such as hot and cold, dust, dirt and chemicals.
The primary qualifications of this position are:
- Most recent Performance appraisal with a minimum of “Meets” expectations and not more than 1 year old.
- No active caution notices.
- Acceptable attendance (less than 7 incidents and no discipline above an Initial Warning).
- Physical requirements: Ability to perform all needed physical activities without restrictions. (Maximum of 50 pounds lifting.)
- A current certification to operate a forklift or the ability to certify prior to start-up.
