The CVS Area Maintenance Tech (AMT) is a critical member of the Area Leadership Team along with the area coordinator and operations team. The AMT is the owner of their area and is responsible for reducing maintenance losses by optimizing proactive maintenance and eliminating unplanned maintenance breakdowns. The AMT coordinates daily planned stops and own Defect Management (DM), and Breakdown Elimination (BDE) processes including leading the RCA process, FMOS escalation, and execution of corrective actions across their area. Additionally, the AMT serves as the spokesperson for the maintenance group within the Area Leadership Team (ALT). The AMT is a technical expert in the assigned area and uses their technical and leadership skills to influence and guide the team utilizing area data.
As a member of the CVS team, you’ll work closely with the CVS Leads, Engineers, and Vendors to install new equipment. You’ll support the project team during the installation, commissioning, and start-up of the new lines. This position will also be critical for capturing and transferring the knowledge of the equipment to the rest of the maintenance team once production begins. Once the project work has been completed, this role will transform into a site AMT.

What will be your key responsibilities?
CVS Activities:
- Performs CVS and training for factory area(s) assigned
- Works with engineering to ensure all PMs are created and available
- Prepare for and support FAT/SAT activities
- Support site CVS activities including coordination of resources, collaboration with engineering group, leading cross-functional decision making action teams concerning project activities. Developing the maintenance CVS plan, supporting the creation of standards to maximize operational effectiveness and start-up
- Work closely with engineering and vendors to understand equipment processes, effectively utilize training opportunities provided, and transfer the knowledge to the rest of the maintenance team
AMT Activities:
- Responsible for leading all maintenance activities and resources in an assigned plant or designated area, flawlessly executing planned maintenance shutdowns, leading all area technical continuous improvements, and minimizing daily downtime
- Leads BDA process, determines root causes for production time lost, and executes corrective actions to ensure elimination of issues.
- Leads PM and predictive maintenance programs, line maintenance shutdowns, and run-time preventative maintenance
- 70% of their time is “on the floor” working in their area. This includes non-wrench time activities such as problem-solving, planning, and getting work done through others.
- Responsible for following all Quality and Food Safety Policies and applicable procedures
