What are the responsibilities and job description for the Filler/Seamer System Technician position at MARS?
System Technicians are responsible for making regular, systematic improvements in the safety, efficiency, and reliability of the equipment in their assigned systems. The Systems Technician defines, maintains and executes the Progressive maintenance (PM) program for their assigned systems. This role is also responsible for driving continuous improvement on their assigned systems, working with Engineering, Technical Services and Production in the design and implementation of new equipment and processes.

What will be your key responsibilities?
- Knowledge of Electrical systems using 480 volts 3 phase as well as 240 volt through 24 volt single phase systems.
- Controls and instrumentation knowledge including, but not limited to, Wonderware HMI systems chart recorders, resistance temperature detectors, pressure differential transmitters and 4-20 MA loop control systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot PLC hardware including Modicon and Allen Bradley PLCs as well as others used in the field. Also needs to have software familiarity with Proworx, Concept and Unity software packages and others used in the field.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints as well as basic to intermediate PLC ladder logic.
- Working knowledge of Allen Bradley, Magnetek, PowerFlex, Altivar and Square D variable frequency drives and other common drives used in the field
- Working knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Working knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems and how they relate to each other.
- Working knowledge of Allen Bradley drives tools software.
- Material machining and welding knowledge.
- Predictive maintenance skills.
- Demonstrated PC skills including the use of the CMMS system to close and plan work orders.
- System analysis and troubleshooting skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of industrial plant systems, equipment and operations.
- Team working skills a must at a variety of functional levels.
