Position: Sanitation Laborer
Supervisor: Sanitation Production Supervisor
Location: Columbia, SC
Purpose of Role:
The Sanitation Labor role performs the micro-sanitation, pest control and sampling program services for the plant in order to provide for a safe, clean, orderly environment that exemplifies a world class manufacturing facility.
Principal Accountabilities:
Manages pest control activities for area through evaluation and auditing of pest population, identification and elimination of micro-habitats, selection of proper pesticides and coordination of inspections.
Maintains control over the microbial environment in plant through detailed cleaning of all plant equipment and surfaces, sanitation of high risk areas, and management of environmental sampling program, adjusting efforts to minimize counts.
Performs preventive maintenance on all sanitation equipment.
Provides early detection of equipment degradation or malfunction throughout the plant.
Participate in Master Cleaning Schedule, Shutdown/Start-up cleaning schedules
Maintains grounds and perimeter of plant along with roof and roof mounted equipment.
Responsible for communicating and elevating any quality and food safety concerns to the site.
Additional Duties:
Provides training to plant associates on Good Manufacturing Practices, sanitation and pest control.
Coordinate supplies, equipment and contractor support for plant sanitation and pest control.
Other similar duties as assigned.
Desired Education:
High school diploma/GED required.
Current forklift certification or the ability to certify
