EXPERIENCED SUPPLY CHAIN PROJECT MANAGER/MATERIALS MANAGER

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
The Supply Chain Project Manager’s role is to support manufacturing and distribution activities for both domestic and international vendors. The challenge? Products need to secured at competitive cost and quality levels with appropriate delivery schedules consistent with Company policy and established performance standards. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, identifying new sources of supply and working with existing suppliers to reduce costs and improve quality.

POSITION FOCUS:
- Develop necessary reports to highlight potential delivery concerns and implement necessary mitigation to minize stock outs
- Work with vendors on high-profile quality issues and develop corrective action plans that meet requirements laid out by Customer Success department
- Responsible for executing category sourcing strategies to ensure a robust supply chain in maintained for critical components in alignment with Purchasing goals for both domestic and international sources
- Leads execution of contract and sourcing negotiations for recurring category sourcing reviews
- Interfaces directly with Engineering and Product Development departments to ensure deliverables and scope meet required objectives
- Some domestic and international travel <10% of time
- Other duties and project work as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business-Related or Engineering field, required.
- Strong understanding of MRP operating principles, required.
- Previous experience managing Purchasing, Engineering, or Supply Chain projects, required.
- Supply chain experience, strongly preferred.
- Excellent PC skills utilizing Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong communication skills to effectively negotiate and communicate with suppliers and vendors.
- Effective organizational & project management skills through proven experience.
- Team orientation with ability to work in a team setting, cross-functionality or autonomously and be self-directed, required.
