Groundskeeper

Job Summary:

Martin Construction, Inc. is seeking a motivated and dependable Groundskeeper to lead our groundskeeping duties. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, reliable, and dedicated to maintaining high standards of work. This role involves overseeing lawn maintenance, snow removal, and light building upkeep to ensure our properties are consistently in top condition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily groundskeeping activities.
• Perform and oversee routine lawn maintenance tasks, including mowing, edging, fertilizing, weeding and irrigation.
• Manage snow removal during winter months, including plowing, salting, and sanding.
• Conduct light building upkeep and repairs as needed.
• Ensure all equipment and tools are maintained in good working order.
• Inspect properties regularly to identify maintenance needs and address them promptly.
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure efficient operations.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, equipment usage, and inventory.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in all maintenance activities.
• Foster a positive and productive work environment.
• Communicate effectively with management and other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and address any issues.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in groundskeeping or facilities maintenance, with a track record of being a self-starter.
• Knowledge of lawn care, snow removal, and general building maintenance.
• Ability to operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment and tools, including a skid steer.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated, reliable, and hardworking with a strong sense of pride in work.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Comply with all company policies, rules, procedures and Code of Conduct
