POSITION TITLE: Dishwasher
REPORTS TO: Kitchen Manager
POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Kitchen Manager; the Dishwasher provides restaurant support by cleaning dishes and keeping up with a high-volume restaurant and maintaining a clean work area.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Run dishes through the dishwasher
- Make sure all dishes are clean and dry before giving to the restaurant to organize
- Balance High volume with High quality
- Participating in ongoing training and development
- Complete all side work on time and accurately.
- Have a service oriented, professional manner in all interactions with both guests and staff.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Help in running food to tables
- Complete all duties assigned within shift while closing out shift and completing all side work.
- Keeping a high level of confidentiality with all guest information.
- High grooming and uniform standards maintained.
- Promptly handle all guest service issues professionally and with urgency.
- Maintain professionalism in all communication with guests and co-workers.
- Follow all Restaurant and Hotel policies and procedures.
- Self-motivated achiever interested in taking on additional roles and responsibilities.
- REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge of dishwashing equipment and function
- The determination to work safely
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- The ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Excellent English or Spanish verbal, and written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to analyze all associated systems as to their design, intent, and effective performance.
- Ability to positively communicate and instruct fellow employees, offering assistance in areas where they lack knowledge, skills or experience
