What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager III, Distribution Facility position at Martins?
Coordinate the total operations for distribution center operations and team members. Manage continuous improvement projects across DC operations, coordinating with business partners within and external to the Brand. Handle all daily issues and strategic projects under the direction of the director of distribution.
Essential Functions
· Coordinate activities with operations’ managers, who are responsible for the day to day activities of business unit and assigned staff
· Serve as distribution director in his / her absence.
· Coordinate operational activities across shifts and departments, including external business partners to maximize efficiency and customer service
· Analyze team’s operational performance, identify opportunities, recommend solutions, and drive continuous improvement across distribution operations, using Lean methodology
· Coordinates improvement projects, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities for the distribution center and the broader business
· Manage PDC labor standards and incentive programs, driving continuous improvement through innovative approaches to motivate hourly staff
· Supervise team’s performance through performance planning, coaching, appraisal and disciplinary efforts
· Communicates and keeps operations well informed and aligned to Company and DC’s values, goals, results, initiatives, policies, procedures etc.
· Ensures associate schedule meets the demand of inbound/outbound volume
· Responsible for assisting in hiring, training, and developing of new and existing team members
· Work with all applicable departments to ensure efficiently and accurate flow of inventory in and out of distribution center
· Conduct meetings with exempt and hourly staff as expected
· Help support, communicate, and administer disciplinary action to team members when necessary.
· Communicate with appropriate individuals/departments during the shift that my affect other shifts or departments
· Efficiently lead the supervisors toward attaining their individual and combined goals through hands-on guidance.
· Help build effect teams by creating goals and providing development plans for self and direct reports
· Develop a large group of production team members into a well-organized, highly motivated and well aligned team.
· Minimizes workplace accidents and injuries by sustain a culture that is compliant with safety procedures and highly focused on workplace safety.
· Maintain labor cost and improve productivity
· Strategically plan, develop, implement, and be responsible for budget & operational goals
· Serve as a resource, mentor, and coach/trainer for supervisor direct reports and supervisor trainees
· Provide accurate reporting information to director of distribution and others
· Manage sanitation supervision and staff to ensure all food safety and facility sanitation guidelines are adhered to, including compliance all food safety programs, such as SQF
· Make recommendations for modifications to procedures or processes impacting their work group or center that will maximize efficiency, productivity, and reduce costs
Knowledge, Skills and Requirements
· 3-5 years management experience
· Possess excellent problem-solving identification, cause, and resolution skills
· Possess good communication skills: verbal and written
· Possess good leadership skills
· Efficient in the areas of: Organizational and Human Resource Skills
· Possess good conflict management skills
· Strong knowledge of PC-based skills
· Strong personal and inter-personal skills
· Demonstrate ability to articulate and provide insight to associates in a manner that creates an understanding and alignment to the business focus/strategy
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and implementing solutions
· Ability to motivate and supervise others to promote associate morale and maintain alignment with company objectives

· Proven track record of being an open-minded, strong leader, with ability to motivate and develop others
· Must be flexible and able to work on all shifts and weekends
Education
· High School Education or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $104,000.00 - $157,000.00 per year
