What are the responsibilities and job description for the EHS Supervisor position at Marvin?
The Safety & Health Supervisor manages the day-to-day activities and objectives of the site S&H team at a designated Marvin facility, to ensure successful outcomes of Safety and Health projects and maintain a safe and healthy work environment for all impacted employees. These duties will be carried out at a specified Marvin facility, with the role reporting up through the Operations structure at the designated location.
Highlights of your role
- Develop site-specific Safety & Health policies and ensure adherence to enterprise policies, programs, and procedures, at a minimum
- Be responsible for compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local safety and health regulations
- Manage knowledge growth and work output of Safety & Health team including interviewing potential Safety and Health candidates, hiring, developing, and training team members
- Lead the investigations of serious injuries, accidents, employee complaints, and other issues
- Monitor, analyze and report Safety & Health data while providing informative and progressive programs
- Ensure safety related program, policy, or physical workspace changes are occurring in a way that reduces employee safety risk
- Inform timely the appropriate parties of recommended compliance/communication changes
- Assist in developing annual Safety & Health related program goals and objectives
- Participate in annual professional development in addition to the required education/training expectations for this position
- Participate in cross-site collaboration and best practice sharing
- Chair site cross-functional Safety committee where applicable
- Assist in Enterprise site cross auditing as requested
You're a good fit if you have

- Bachelor’s degree in a related field strongly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge and experience may be considered in place of degree.
- 4 years’ experience in safety related role(s) with increasing levels of responsibility
- Environmental experience a plus
- Experience in Safety and Health leadership roles in a manufacturing environment preferred
- OSHA Voluntary Protection Program experience preferred
- Currently hold or willingness to obtain additional education, safety certifications, and designations required. Designations include but not limited to:
Þ BCSP ASP and/or CSP
Þ NSC Advanced Safety Certificate
Þ OSHA 30 Hour
Þ Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technician Certification (OHST)
Þ Train the trainer designations related to Safety and Health
Þ Any related college degree
