What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Manager position at Marvin?
We are looking for a results-driven Plant Manager with a proven track record in manufacturing management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Integrity plant, ensuring optimal production efficiency, continuous improvement, quality standards, and workplace safety.
Highlights of your role
- Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
- Manage day-to-day operations of the manufacturing plant.
- Actively support, in collaboration with HR leadership, the maintenance and applicability of policies/guidelines, for example, Associate Handbook, appraisal/discipline practices, safety and wellness initiatives, and employee relations.
- Build and maintain a positive environment. Motivate all associates to support key business and plant operations goals/initiatives.
- Establish strong working relationships with other functional managers within the organization, both locally and with the other Marvin locations.
- Meet all customer requirements and orders with the delivery of quality products produced and delivered within the established timeframes.
- Provide regular reports on plant performance and approve changes in direction of plans; defines and recommends objectives in each area of operations.
- Maintain appropriate communication within area of responsibility and keep employees informed as to the company/plant plans and progress; present monthly reports on the performance as requested by the Director of Operations and actively participate in the analysis/planning of budgets for the location.
- Appropriately challenge ideas and/or programs that may be preventing accomplishment of goals and remove roadblocks for associates as they are identified.
- Accountability measures include capacity planning, culture and people development, managing materials, labor and SGA, quality, and providing a safe work environment.

You're a good fit if you have
- Bachelor's degree required; degree in Engineering (or similar) is strongly preferred, as is an MBA
- Proven experience as a Plant Manager or in a similar manufacturing leadership role with 200 employees with direct responsibility for manufacturing, materials, management, engineering, and human resources is required
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety protocols
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proven track record to recruit, train, develop and lead talent.
- Must work well within a diverse workplace, handle challenges that arise with respect, and be a flexible leader.
- Able to work under pressure and remain calm during difficult situations and can address a variety of unexpected situations through to a resolution.
- Strong integrity, confidentiality, and present a positive company image consistent with Integrity’s values
- Interaction experience with sales and service personnel and strong knowledge of manufacturing principles to improve cost, quality, delivery, and safety is required.
