Purpose:
Kraus is looking for an innovative and design driven Product Marketing Manager to successfully deliver new and exciting products to market! You will lead from concept identification through product execution, to help facilitate incremental sales and profit growth for the organization. The Product Manager leads the overall Kraus brand product portfolio performance including price positioning, margin targets and life cycle management.
The Kraus team operates as a business within a business at Delta Faucet Company. Kraus is an agile, cross-functional team that is charged with growing and scaling the Kraus brand.
The Product Marketing Manager reports to the Director, Program Management. This position is encouraged to challenge existing norms and improve processes while collaborating with the various areas of the business (Sales, Analytics, Product Development, & Brand / Creative).
Responsibilities:
A key success factor is analyzing and interpreting market data and information around the retail, ecommerce, & project markets and synthesizing potential opportunities and risks. This position will own the development and execution of the strategy outlined in Product Road Map. An outstanding blend of business and technical savvy, excitement to build a big-picture vision, and the dedication to make that vision a reality, will be successful traits.
Ability to cultivate cross functional team communication and collaboration will be a positive contributor to success. You will work with product development, analytics, brand, and sales leaders to define a go-to-market strategy and be responsible for the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer identification. This role will also serve as the internal advocate for the product portfolio and enable external advocacy with customers and consumers.
The role responsibilities are:
- Lead the product life cycle from identifying the product strategy, to tactical execution activities and obsolescence
- Specify market requirements for current and future products through the analysis & synthesis of internal sales data, 3rd party market data, industry trends, consumer feedback, customer feedback, and DFC market research.
- Identify and respond to product opportunities brought forth by business development and account management teams
- Work directly with the product development team to successfully bring modern design with real-life functionality and no-hassle quality to market
- Handle development of product related documentation, including but not limited to: business cases, margin analysis, sales forecasts, product presentations, and product launch materials
- Constructively challenge current thinking on processes and drive the organization toward elimination of waste ($ and time)
Education & Experience:
We seek an individual with proven experience in marketing/ product development of consumer products; Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are necessary for success in this position. Experience with PowerBI or other data analysis tools is preferred. This position requires travel (20%) – primary travel is to the NY Kraus headquarters with occasional international travel to suppliers once available. The preferred “home base” location for this role is Indianapolis with hybrid and remote work flexibility.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, including the ability to present information in a clear and concise manner
- Experience collaborating with sales, product development, brand, program management, and analytics teams
- Proven creativity, analytical abilities, and time management skills
- Previous experience in product lifecycle processes, including product research, market research, competitive analysis, positioning, roadmap development, requirements development, and product launch.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or Engineering, or equivalent with product management work experience
