We heard you knock! Overview The Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator audits and maintains facility EHS systems. This position ensures the facility is operating according to EHS procedures and notifies management when deviations from these standards are noted. Responsibilities Acts as an in-plant voice for EHS related issues; concentrating on at-risk behaviors and conditions throughout the facility Verifies compliance with EHS standards, through auditing, observations, and inspections Reviews written procedures to verify accuracy; lockout, SOP’s, etc Records Safety Committee meeting minutes Participates in accident investigations and follow up on corrective actions identified through the completion Tracks the following programs and notify management of any deficiencies; training database, roll-out compliance, and safety inspections Files EHS documentation according to the safety binder requirements Updates the Safety Visual Workplace and other Boards as required throughout the facility Conducts the safety new hire orientation Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Communication skills Computer skills; Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Ability to read an engineering drawing (specific jobs) Ability to read a tape measure and calipers (specific jobs) Attention to details Ability to make objective decisions and support them Qualifications First Aid and CPR training/certified preferred or ability to get certified in 90 days Familiarity with manufacturing environments Full working knowledge of all positions in the department Familiarity with EHS guidelines and requirements ***Split Shift*** Monday-Friday 11:30 AM -8:00 PM Open to extraordinary!
