Business Consultant

Position Summary:

The role works with both business and IT partners to support the Retirement Services record keeping platforms and its surrounds.  The role helps create solutions based on technologies, efficiencies and objectives.

This individual must be competent to work at the highest technical level through most phases of business and/or systems analysis while considering the business implications to the current and future environment. The role is a key resource for both legacy and future platforms. The individual will also be responsible to prepare Ad-Hoc reports and analysis as needed.

Responsibilities:

• work with both business and IT partners to support the Retirement Services record keeping platforms and its surrounds by identifying and resolving issues.
• assist in creating long-term and short-term solutions based on technologies, efficiencies and objectives.
• create and run daily reports for internal and external use
• is a key resource for both legacy and future platforms
• will be responsible to prepare Ad-Hoc reports and analysis as needed
• create, test and execute data edits via SQL improve efficiencies utilizing templates, macros or VBA programming in Excel or Access

Basic Qualifications:

• 1+ years query writing in Transact-SQL

• 1+ years of experience with databases

• 1+ years of experience in insurance,  financial services and/or data analytics
• 1+ years of experience with  Data Analysis tools (Excel or Access)
• Ability to work collaboratively with business and IT
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies 
• Strong problem-solving skills and able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
• Strong analytical skills and logical approach
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience with databases
• 3+ years of experience in insurance,  financial services and/or data analytics
• 2+ years query writing using Sybase SQL
• 2+ years VBA programming experience
• 2+ years Access development experience
• 1+ years  UIPath RPA development experience
• Working knowledge of Tableau and Alteryx
