What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aftermarket Services Technician position at Master Flo?
Work Conditions:
- Monday to Friday, 8 hour days - Flexible hours available
- Work is primarily performed indoors.
- Some travel to customer sites to perform service as required.
Responsibilities:
- Execute in-house repairs and refurbishment of Master Flo Valve products
- Conduct light field service as required
- Provide production support as required
Duties Include:
- Perform tear down and inspection of customer valves and actuators
- Provide assessment of component’s condition and recommendation for replacements or upgrades
- Complete Product Evaluation Report (ES 06-000-001) and submit to Aftermarket Coordinator for quoting and evaluation by the customer
- Identify priorities and maintain a work schedule with the Aftermarket Coordinator to ensure all repairs are processed in a timely manner for all customers
- Liaise with other departments on customer service and repair issues as applicable
- Services all customer surface valve and actuator repairs in shop. Perform light field service work occasionally as required
- Ensure tools are clean, functional and organized for shop and truck
- Ensure calibration of measurement devices and tools is always up-to-date
- Maintain an ongoing count of inventory level of parts and tools reserved for Aftermarket Services
- Assist Production during down times in all aspects of new products
- Be available for emergency calls to assist customers as required
Qualifications:
- Experience in a mechanically inclined job is required. For example: automotive mechanic, construction, or assembly line work.
- Mid to high dexterity and mobility for physical handling of products is required.
- Experience with hand tools is required.
- Ability to occasionally travel to customer site (must be able to obtain required tickets) is required.
- Valid Alberta Driver’s License (must provide a Driver’s Abstract) is required.
- Knowledge/experience with valves, choke valves, and control valves is an asset.
- Knowledge of electric, hydraulic and pneumatic valve actuation is an asset.
- Computer proficiencies in standard office programs is required. Experience with specialized data base programs is an asset.
- Subject to Drug and Alcohol testing as required by our clients for site access.
