Master's Academy is a homeschool partnership in Marietta, GA providing academic classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays to students K4-12th grade. We partner with families as they homeschool their children by providing in school teaching, hands on activities, assignments to complete at home, grading, etc. Our class sizes are small (no more than 15 in each classroom) which allows us to know our students well and meet them where they are.
We are seeking a part time Science teacher for the 2022-2023 school year or for the following school year. This teacher would provide instruction in elementary Science (Zoology for K4-6th grade students) and follow the General Science Middle School curriculum for 7th-8th grade. An ideal candidate would have a Bachelor's degree in education or Science (although we would consider candidates with teaching experience without a degree for our program), more than 2 years of teaching experience, a creative and hands on approach to teaching, an accepting teacher who is willing to teach "out of the box" learners, be a great communicator and able to partner with our families well, be someone who can follow our syllabus but create unique lesson plans for each school day.
We are scheduling phone interviews now and then in person interviews as soon as possible. We currently have a Science teacher who will be needing to vacate her role due to family commitments at this time. She will be staying on until we find the right candidate to take her position.
