Summary/Objective:
Dispatcher focus is to build relationships with our team on the road. This position works with our drivers to be their daily conduit to the operations team. The daily tasks include working on the phone, email and systems to relay information to our drivers nationwide necessary for them to finish their routes, setting appointments and relaying in transit information. This will include developing solutions to various problems regarding deliveries and in-transit shipments and coordinating these between drivers and operations.
Essential Functions:
This position is responsible for a set of drivers and vendors, with the primary objective of ensuring timely deliveries, along with providing excellent customer service to the receivers. This will include communicating with salesmen about delivery of equipment and following up to ensure highest possible customer experience. Making operational, revenue and dispatch decisions based on best available information at the time. Coordinating the information from salesmen to the drivers to include shipment details. Communicating issues to salesmen and drivers.
- Tracking location of drivers and shipments
- Communicating ETA's to customers and salesmen for pick up and deliveries
- Establishing ETAs for pickup and deliveries
- Alerting manager and/or sales team to potential delays or issues
- Provide solutions to various operational problems
- Update internal and external systems with current statuses
- Building relationships with our drivers while helping deliver the best service in the industry
- Compliance with DOT regulations
- · Building relationships with customers to ensure superior service to enhance business opportunities
- · Communicate with co-workers regarding customers, drivers and operational issues
Required Skills:
- Must be organized, able to multi-task multiple customers, drivers, issues daily
- Very good with multiple systems and technology to track and update status
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others
Work Environment:

· Microsoft Office skills, with an ability to become familiar with firm-specific programs and software.
