The Role

As a strategic member of the MasterControl team, the FP&A Manager or Senior Manager will focus on the analytics and a finance team that support our fast-paced and growing company. You will report to our Vice President of FP&A.

Responsibilities

• Drive enterprise-wide FP&A/reporting applications development, implementation, systematic feedback and enduring improvements
• Objectively position data to achieve the best results for MasterControl; ensures alignment of budget decisions for strategic initiatives across multiple groups.
• Provide unique financial analyses that highlight key issues facing MasterControl
• Manage financial analysts and oversee financial modeling/analytics ranging from customers/users, bookings, revenue, gross profit, to operating expenses and investments
  
  

Requirements

• Extensive FP&A and SAAS experience (>8 years) developing organizationally complex financial models – even from the ground up – that systematically translate business analytics into financial statement forecasting. Be viewed as a credible business source by leaders across a SAAS enterprise: product development, sales & marketing, operations and data science.
• Able to grasp and prioritize the key drivers of the analysis, focus a team on the critical issues and drive recommendations. Avoids over-analysis while detecting and avoiding analytical biases
• A bias toward action, high energy/creativity and intellectual curiosity
• Foster relationships with individuals, management and executives to consistently initiate, raise, and gain closure on complex issues. Be a reliable source to contribute across a wide range of business discussions based on their business acumen.
• Strong systems acumen in Microsoft Office, multi-dimensional financial reporting and FP&A databases; familiarity with Oracle NetSuite, Workday Adaptive Planning, Salesforce and BI platforms is helpful
• Experience in life sciences is a significant plus
