Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Jig Grinder to operate Moore Jig Grinders, primarily Moore G-18 models, to perform precision grinding on complex components.
The candidate will be responsible for interpreting detailed drawings and sketches to create high-quality parts with tight tolerances using manual machinery.
- 5 years of hands-on experience with Moore G-18 Jig Grinders or similar jig grinding machines.
- Proven ability to achieve tolerances as tight as .0005 on a variety of precision components.
- Proficiency in setting up fixtures and parts for jig grinding operations, ensuring stability and accuracy during the grinding process.
- Expertise in using various precision measurement tools such as OD / ID micrometers, depth gauges, height gauges, and bore gauges to verify part dimensions.
- Solid understanding and experience in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings conforming to ASME Y14.5 standards.
Additional Competencies :
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills to address issues during the grinding process and adjust setups as necessary.
- Knowledge of machine maintenance and troubleshooting to keep jig grinders in top operational condition.
- Ability to work independently and maintain productivity in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Work Environment :
- Must be comfortable working in a manual machine shop environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Hourly wage ranging from $22 - $42 , depending on experience and skill level.
