Job Description
Conduct and lead daily press-molding operations, equipment maintenance, and scheduling for reinforced polymer parts.
Capable of operating molding equipment and possess and understand production machine controls.
Design and test prototype tooling and materials for new product development.
Develop tooling inspection procedures.
Select and confirm availability of all materials and components.
Develop process documents and work instructions.
Work with engineering and quality to confirm quality of manufactured components.
Troubleshoot molds, machines and processes.
Maintain equipment.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Polymer/Plastics discipline highly preferred, or equivalent experience.
Minimum three (3) years plastics injection/compression molding experience.
Hands-on experience developing and establishing the process of multi-cavity mold tooling.
Experience required in the injection/compression molding manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of automation, electronics including PLC programming and Fluid Power.
Capable to document process steps and design of manufactured components/equipment, CAD. CAD knowledge will be required of selected candidate (training available)
Must be a self-starter. Capable of scheduling and executing as necessary to support and complete tasks as required.
