Join the MathWorks Finance team as an accountant, working with a global team of professionals to compile and deliver monthly financial results, prepare the annual expense plan, and provide analytical support to business partners across the organization.
You’ll work with a global team and will be exposed to senior management, as you prepare and publish consolidated results, analyze key business issues, and identify opportunities to leverage technology and reduce waste. Responsibilities
- Working with other members of the global Finance Team, prepare and deliver timely and accurate financial results, including the preparation of journal entries, supporting documentation and reconciliations
- Identify opportunities to increase the use of technology and reduce waste related to the aggregation, analysis, and reporting of key data
- Provide accounting support and documentation to assist with the annual audit, the implementation of new accounting standards and the completion of complex transactions
- Working with others on the Finance Team, learn to partner with leaders and staff across the organization to understand key business issues and assist in creating the annual expense plan
- Working with other analysts and business partners, develop an understanding of models and analysis that can be used to support informed decision making
- Assist with projects in various capacities from the execution of tasks on larger cross functional projects to project management activities on smaller projects
Qualifications

- A bachelor's degree is required.
Additional Qualifications
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred
- Working knowledge of accounting terms and processes.
- Effective communication skills with all levels of personnel is essential
