The EUC team's mission is to provide MathWorks' staff with compute solutions that enables them to be productive in the office, home, or anywhere in between. The EUC product area is supporting MathWorks’ move towards a hybrid working environment. This brings forth exciting and challenging opportunities for the Solution Architect role.

Our service portfolio includes a range of physical and virtual desktop solutions for Windows, Linux, and Mac platforms. We own the configuration management services which support these platforms and the technologies that enhance the user experience.

We are looking for an experienced EUC Solution Architect who can evolve our technical portfolio and provide architectural direction based on business needs and industry trends. A successful candidate has extensive experience in end user technologies and demonstrates leadership both within and across the organization. The candidate will drive multiple priorities, communicate successfully to internal stakeholders, and be able to coach and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Connect technical architecture across multiple products to create cohesive solutions and high-level architecture
• Design the architecture of cross-functional products and platforms and ensure that individual technical architectures align and support strategy
• Work with Product Owners to ensure technical architecture aligns with business strategy and services in the context of EUC solutions
• Audit, design, and build integrated and observable information systems to drive data driven decisions
• Maintain solution architecture documentation and diagrams
• Work with the technical leaders to resolve problems and drive technical consensus
• Evolve infrastructure architecture to leverage cloud hosted services
• Mentor Technical Leads and SMEs to grown skillset and architectural knowledge

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree and 12 years of professional work experience (or equivalent experience) is required.
• Expertise with Microsoft Windows
• Expertise with Linux
• Expertise with virtualization

Additional Qualifications

• Have deep knowledge in one or more EUC technical areas, combined with a broad knowledge of IT services
• Have an understanding of the relationships and inter-dependencies between products and product groups, especially in the EUC space
• Be able to translate user / business requirements into technical solutions
• Be able to communicate solutions/designs effectively to technical and non-technical audiences
• Be able to design and support technical solutions and workflows
• Be able to mentor, coach, and influence others
