Production Support Specialist
Matrix Tool, Inc. is a custom full-service manufacturing operation located in Fairview, PA. We specialize in the design and construction of high precision plastic and metal injection molds. We are seeking to fill an immediate Production Support Specialist role on 1st shift in our Injection Molding Division.
Primary Duties:
1. Assists with demand-based raw material / bill of material planning & procurement to ensure customer molding orders can be manufactured and shipped in a timely manner. Material Procurement relates to resin, color concentrates, packaging supplies and other BOM items as quoted and stocked.
2. Assists with the monitoring, tracking & reporting of company work-in-process inventory (finished goods, raw material, packaging, etc.) and customer owned/consigned inventory.
3. Provides customer and vendor service support via emails, phone follow-up and/or reporting as needed to maintain customer requirements pertaining to material forecasts, molding orders, shipments, certificate sof compliance, etc.
4. Assists production support staff with the processing of customer sales orders for injection molded parts and the scheduling of molding presses / production orders in the computerized ERP system.
5. Inputs data to set-up and/or update production related information (bills of material, shipping information; sales order databases, etc.) in the computerized ERP system;
6. Collects, maintains and reports on production and/or inventory records to track order progress and support shipping activities;
7. Assists with the completion of daily warehouse inspections, including product dock audits/final inspections and all applicable receiving inspections of incoming material.
8. Assists with misc. administrative tasks to support production and shipping requirements (BOM creation, label generation, production data entry, special reporting, etc.).
Basic Qualifications:
Interested candidates should have a basic understanding of continuous manufacturing & production logistics and at least 6 - 12 months purchasing, customer service, shipping / receiving or general warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment. A Bachelor’s Degree or extended work experience in a related manufacturing field is desirable. In addition, the position requires a detail-oriented individual who can organize his/her own work and prioritize daily functions to ensure we can meet customer production and delivery commitments. Prior experience with personal computers, data entry, word processing software and Excel spreadsheets is a desirable, as is familiarity with ERP software. Solid communication skills are necessary as the position interfaces with various levels of internal personnel, customer contacts, logistics personnel and other vendors. The ability to cooperate with others and work as a constructive member of a team in a dynamic and fast paced work environment is essential.
