The Opportunity:
The department is looking for a talented Paralegal for the Intellectual Property (IP) section of the Law Department with relevant IP experience such as managing a portfolio of trademarks, copyrights, designs, and domain names, including experience with trademark clearance and the copyright registration process. IP litigation and licensing experience is a plus. The role requires outstanding communication skills, attention to detail, the ability to organize, prioritize, and execute against multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment, an eagerness and aptitude for learning, a strong work ethic, and a positive can-do attitude. The ideal candidate should exhibit the ability to maintain a high-level of confidentiality, professionalism, and collaboration with team members, as well as be comfortable in a lean and rapidly changing environment. The position will provide a range of support to manage some of the most famous toy brands in the world, including the specific tasks set forth below.
What Your Impact Will Be:
- Trademark Clearance and Prosecution; Copyright Registration
- Conduct trademark searches globally and advise on availability
- Prepare and file trademark applications
- Assist with trademark prosecution worldwide, including gathering evidence, responding to Office Actions, and registering/renewing trademarks
- Register copyrights at the US Copyright Office and other copyright offices around the world
- IP Dispute & Litigation Support
- Research potential IP infringements as directed by attorneys
- Conduct factual research related to ongoing IP litigation and provide summaries to attorneys
- Review and organize evidence
- Online IP Enforcement
- Identify counterfeits and IP infringements on online marketplaces around the world
- Assist with developing IP enforcement strategies
- Review and organize evidence from investigators and law firms regarding online counterfeiters
- Assist with content protection and IP enforcement on social media channels, app stores, NFT marketplaces, and the Metaverse
- General
- Assist with managing budget for IP section
- Coordinate IP training with business teams
- Other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For:
In addition to the skills and abilities identified in The Opportunity section above, we're looking for --
Experience
A minimum of three (3) years of experience as a trademark paralegal, administrator, or equivalent experience at a law firm and/or in-house legal team
Education/Professional Licensing:
Undergraduate degree
Administrative Excellence.
Contribute to a culture that values strong practice administration. Excellent organizational skills a must, including planning, prioritization, organization, and time management. Should also have meticulous attention to detail, as well as the ability to create and follow standardized practices and procedures.

Hourly:
The base hourly rate for this position is between$27.35 and $41.35.
**This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however base hourly rate will be determined based on a candidate's work location, skills and experience.
