We’re currently looking for an Assistant Video Editor to join our Video Audio Services team in Denver, CO. This is an exciting opportunity for a visual storyteller to conceptualize and create digital video assets for Matter’s extensive roster of clients as well as Matter’s own internal marketing efforts. The Assistant Video Editor will work alongside our award-winning Creative Services team of Video Producers on a wide variety of short-form videos, including but not limited to: brand anthems and explainers, case studies and testimonials, podcasts and original shows, live or virtual experiences, product tours and demos, recruiting and thought-leadership. The Assistant Video Editor will help produce content for audiences in exciting B2B and B2B industries: Technology, Healthcare & Life Sciences, Consumer & Lifestyle, Professional Services, Manufacturing & Industrial, Environmental & Sustainability, Food, and Higher Education. No day will be the same.
Primary Duties
- Assist post-production of client video and audio assets to create content for a variety of channels
- Liaise with multiple internal teams, manage deadlines, and execute on deliverables
- Help organize and maintain library of video and audio assets for clients and the broader video audio department
- Stay current with new technology and audio/video trends
Along with a great portfolio of work, your previous experience and attributes will include:
- 1-2 or more years’ experience as a video editor for brands, either independently, in an agency or in-house creative/production department, or as a full-time freelancer
- Strong understanding of visual storytelling through the medium of video
- Expertise using Adobe Premiere Pro software
- Working knowledge of Adobe Audition a plus
- Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects a plus
- Proficient in using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with workflow management and collaborative software a plus
- Experience with videography a plus
- Creative, self-motivated and able to work on multiple projects independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Desire and willingness to continually learn and improve through numerous professional development opportunities
