Staffing Specialist

SUMMARY:

The Staffing Specialist is the main point of contact for the clients they are assigned. You will work to understand their staffing needs, recruit, onboard to fill open positions, and maintain continuous applicant flow as required by the client.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate degree in a related field (communications, business management, human resources) (Bachelor's degree preferred)
  • 1 years of recruiting and human resource experience
  • Proven ability to work successfully with customers and employees
  • HR Certification (PHR or SHRM-CP) (preferred)
  • Lean Greenbelt experience/certification (preferred)
  • Root cause analysis training (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds periodically and 50 pounds on occasion
  • Capacity to walk/stand for the duration of the shift and climb five flights of stairs multiple times per day
  • Willingness and ability to travel overnight, as needed (preferred)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Hire, supervise, counsel, evaluate, discipline, and recommend changes in employee status
  • Administer company policies and procedures
  • Maintain applicant flow through the placement of ads, development of recruiting sources, and analysis of weekly and monthly recruiting source reports
  • Regularly review work orders and interact with customers
  • Create assignments/orders in Avionte
  • Receive, process, and analyze work orders from customers
  • Interview candidates
  • Complete candidate background checks
  • Assign and turnover associates
  • Answer all incoming calls and record messages as needed
  • Remain on-call after hours in the event of off-shift accidents
  • Ensure and attend to the treatment of injured employees
  • Oversee the case management of injured employees during working hours, including accident investigations and the completion of Accident/Injury Reports and Worker's Compensation Packets
  • Determine the position that the employee will return to once released by their physician
  • Answer questions regarding unemployment claims and attend unemployment hearings
  • Maintain an excellent level of customer service by visiting client sites at predetermined levels, and establishing predetermined levels of candidates in Kanban pools, ensuring MAU has employees ready to start positions at all times to meet customer needs
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
