Job Description and Responsibilities
Summary:
The Inbound Operations Manager is responsible to lead the development and execution of strategy, systems, processes, and people associated with raw material collections. The primary focus is to lead coordination with Transportation, Operations, Sourcing and Sales to meet customer expectations and create supply plans that ensure availability of materials and products. This role is also responsible to manage and improve the customer experience through studying, evaluating, and redesigning processes, establishing, and communicating service metrics, monitoring and analyzing results, and implementing changes.
Responsibilities:
- Build out and execute on a regional strategy rooted in SLAs and KPIs
- Manage procedures for successful coordination of container returns
- Develop strong relationships with customers and actively solicit feedback about company performance, forecasts, and trends; troubleshoots supplier/customer satisfaction ratings
- Provide guidance and direction to direct reports, including setting performance standards, monitoring performance, identifying development needs, coaching, mentoring, and helping improve their knowledge and skills
- Function as a system administrator for Mauser’s return order entry and tracking software system
- Resolve customer escalations and develop processes to prevent future escalations from occurring
- Coordinate with Transportation, Sales, Sourcing and Operations to address issues and identify additional areas of focus and continuous improvement
- Perform monthly reporting and billing responsibilities for key customers
- Liaise with company leaders to support and implement growth strategies
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s or other advanced degree is preferred
- 10 years of customer service, operations, supply chain planning and/or consulting experience required
- 5 years of management experience required
- Complete understanding of customer service operations, vendor management, supply chain process and performance metrics
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to work independently with minimal direction
- Ability to manage competing priorities
- High attention to detail and organization skills. Must be willing to juggle many things at once and prioritize effectively.
- Strong customer service advocacy and problem-solving skills along with a passion for customer satisfaction
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word), Outlook, Internet.
