Summary

Repair hull and deck parts prior to assembly/rigging process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Must possess adequate knowledge in the mechanics and operations of small spray equipment for applying gel-coat spray repairs to hulls and decks
• Must possess the ability to use air assisted grinders and sanders
• Must demonstrate the ability to make comprehensive decisions independently
• Must possess general knowledge of most working supplies including grades of sanding paper for hand or DA use, compounds, glazes, repair fillers, production resins, fiber glasses, solvents, and all catalysts used for making repairs
• Assist in moving capped hulls and decks into and out of designated spaces with-in the PI area
• General housekeeping and organization skills
• Other duties may be assigned

Education and/or Experience

No prior experience or training

Language Skills

Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10`s and 100`s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurements, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
