Description
The Human Resources Manager will provide human resource management services and manage functional HR initiatives, benefits, employee relations, compensation, performance management and coaching. The Human Resources Manager will also work to respond to various HR issues and inquires on matters such as employment law and compliance, providing conflict resolution services and communicating HR programs, policies, and procedures. This position reports to the VP of Human Resources and the President of Colorado Operations.
Pay: $70,000 Annually depending on experience
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides advice and guidance to managers related to the interpretation of HR policies and procedures as they relate to individual and company objectives.
- Provide employee relations consultation, management coaching and development assistance, performance management and employee engagement support.
- Ensure compliance with company policies/practices, federal, state and local employment laws.
- Direct activities of HR team and implement improvements in Human Resources workflow and business processes.
- Approves transactions related to onboarding of new employees, status changes for existing employees and terminations of employees.
- Conducts new employee orientations to ensure employees gain an understanding of benefit plans and enrollment provisions.
- Conduct HR investigations and resolves employee complaints.
- Advise management regarding the conduct of employee discipline activity and performance evaluations.
- Support management with human resources advice, counsel, and decisions.
- Coordinate the hiring and transition of personnel associated with any future acquisitions.
- Prepare for and execute workforce reductions in compliance with applicable regulations as required.
- Recommends, develops, and implements new approaches to policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
- Organizes and facilitates trainings, including TIPS training, Orientation, etc.
- Provide direction to site managers regarding the administration of Human Resources policies and procedures.
- Remain knowledgeable of Federal and Washington wage and hour laws
- Provide management reporting to leadership team, as requested
- Maintain accurate and relevant information in the HRIS
- Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations to maintain compliance with company policies/practices.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years in Human Resources, with solid employee relations experience required.
Prior experience with developing and implementing New Hire Orientation and Onboarding.
Experience developing local policies and procedures consistent with company human resources strategies and systems and state and federal employment law.
Administering company policies that directly affects company employees.
Experience working with HRIS Systems (i.e. Paylocity).
PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred (or willing/able to obtain upon hire).
Experience working in the casino or hospitality industry is a plus.
