Maverick Events’ Managers coordinates and oversees administrative duties in and outside of the office and ensure that the entire business operates efficiently and smoothly.
Their responsibilities generally include duties like creating proposals, managing staff, managing office duties and supplies, overseeing administrative operations, owning timekeeping, and supporting owner with administrative tasks like scheduling travel and events. Manager will be responsible for handling employee relations among staff, supporting owner and management while representing Maverick Events with a professional Aloha Spirit demeanor.
Overview of the Manager role:
Supervise daily projects to ensure they are completed on time and efficiently
Serves as the front line for calls and general inquiries from clients and vendors.
Corresponding with clients via email and telephone
Creating event proposals with the assistance of the owner and designers
Assist with travel arrangements
Build floral recipes for events and deliver directions to the team
Process estimates, create invoices and payments in QuickBooks
Coordinates, collects, and verifies hours worked for hourly staff using Payroll App
Supports new employees during on-boarding
Organize and coordinate office schedule & materials
Maintain and order office/floral supplies
Complete miscellaneous tasks such as assisting employee with events, directing visitors/clients, lead daily team meetings, etc.
Excited to learn and train in all aspects of the Events’ Industry
Preferred Qualifications Manager:
Highly Motivated, Self-Starter
Compassionate, articulate communicator with an enthusiastic attitude
Experience using QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
Ability to organize, prioritize, execute tasks and problem solve successfully in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills in time management, establishing priorities & attention to detail
Comfortable and confident giving directions and constructive feedback
Team oriented
Proven leadership ability and personal management skills
Valid divers license
1-2 years of relevant experience, ie. Office Management, Employee Relations
Corporate Events Industry experience a plus
Social Media posting know-how a bonus
Creative, punctual, ability to work extra hours as needed
Salary Based on Experience
MUST LIVE ON MAUI OR ALREADY BE IN THE PROCESS OF RELOCATING TO MAUI.
