Description
The Staff Accountant assists in day-to-day General Ledger accounting processes and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), experienced in Business Central / Business Dynamics accounting software and proficient in excel. Candidate must be a team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with the existing team to continue to enhance the close and reporting processes to ensure timely and accurate accounting and monthly reporting
- Assist with preparation of the financials for the respective locations
- Assist with the preparation of the Revenue Analysis Worksheets
- Assist in the preparation of monthly cash reconciliations
- Involved in the preparation of the Monthly Excise tax returns
- Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures; maintain necessary supporting documentation related to journal entries and reconciliations
- Correspond with various departments to compile financial data for monthly reporting, as needed
- Research and respond to all general ledger inquiries in a timely manner
- Assist in the preparation of the annual Financial Statements
- Assist with any regulatory reporting
- Be cognizant of internal controls and proactively advance ideas to enhance the control environment
- Manage and participate in ad hoc projects, as requested
- Perform other job duties as assigned
Requirements
- Associate degree in Business, Accounting or related field and/or (3) three years’ experience in accounting casino and gaming accounting; or an equivalent amount of education and experience
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Salary : $50,000 - $60,000
