Responsibilities
- Permit Acquisition: Lead the acquisition of all necessary permits for the deployment of fiber optic networks, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with relevant laws and regulations, and ensure all projects adhere to these standards.
- Documentation: Prepare, submit, and track permit applications, ensuring all documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted in a timely manner.
- Coordination: Work closely with engineering, construction, and project management teams to understand project requirements and timelines, facilitating smooth project execution.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with government agencies, municipalities, and other stakeholders to negotiate and secure permits, addressing any concerns or requirements they may have.
- Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve any issues or obstacles that may arise during the permitting process, ensuring minimal impact on project timelines.
- Reporting: Maintain detailed records and reports on permit status, progress, and any issues encountered, providing regular updates to project managers and senior leadership.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Urban Planning, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in permitting, preferably within the telecommunications or construction industry.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of permitting processes and regulatory requirements at local, state, and federal levels.
- Skills: Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve permitting issues efficiently and effectively.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in using permitting and project management software.
- Misc. Must have a clean driving record
