What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intern, Manufacturing Engineering position at Maxar Technologies?
Maxar is seeking a Manufacturing and Production Engineering intern to assist in hardware production management. The position is located at our contract manufacturer in San Jose. This intern role will work side by side with the engineering supervisor onsite at the contract manufacturer to support the production activities of the hardware.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program with completion of two years or more, or Master's degree program in industrial, electrical, mechanical or aerospace engineering, mathematics, physics, or related discipline
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to work as part of a team of engineers on a project
- Interest in Aerospace or Systems engineering is preferred
- Experience or interest in process improvement techniques is a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication, organization and leadership skills
Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate's unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:
