Summary:
The Regional Crawler Manager will oversee or manage the A/D Directors, ensure retention of job documentation, and help ensure crane- and job-readiness for all assembly and disassembly activities in their assigned geographic areas. The Regional Crawler Manager position is responsible to ensure safe field operations and customer satisfaction of delivered product to customer jobsites.
Responsibilities:
The key areas of responsibility are:
- A/D's
- Manage A/D Directors (A/D's) or coordinate A/D's depending on region size
- Recruiting & training of A/D's
- Ensure A/D's have the proper skill set for the assembly or disassembly (ASSY/DSSY)
- Develop A/D crews dedicated to ASSY/DSSY for various types of equipment
- Contact with A/D's during ASSY to confirm arrival of crew, assist crane, and components as trucks arrive
- Lead field calls with VP/CRL, RVP's, CRL Service, and A/D's to discuss initiatives, issues, best practices, processes.
- Paperwork and Compliance
- Distribute On-Rent and Off-Rent Inspection Packs, JDS, Annual Inspection WO, Lift plans and specific job requirements to A/D's prior to job commencement
- Ensure On-Rent and Off-Rent Inspection Packs and pictures are uploaded in JCD and One-Drive per policy
- Accuracy verification of JSAs
- Ensure Rent Readiness
- Ensure proper crane, attachment, and component condition for upcoming jobs
- Ensure Off-rent inspections are completed prior to DSSY of cranes.
- Off-rent inspections should help determine if crane needs to return to yard or can ship to next project
- Jobsite Verification
- Arrange a site visit to confirm assembly area, truck staging, and safety requirements/orientation
- Validation of JDS accuracy & completeness with sales personnel (verify crane configuration, job site address, directions, proper entry points, contacts, etc.)
- Coordination with Dispatchers - Scheduling of upcoming ASSY's/DSSY's, specify correct assist crane, ensure correct number of qualified riggers are assigned.
- Communication
- Communication as necessary with other Regional Crawler Managers to check crane, attachment, A/D availability as well as other needs
- Confirm with Dispatch/Logistics Group to confirm trucking needs are covered
- Inventory
- Maintain and share inventory of attachments and components
- Management of job specific pick lists and confirm Logistics Team Load Lists
- Communicate upcoming work to A/D's to help ensure all components are identified and located prior to ship date

Skills & Qualifications
- Experience as an A/D Director or strong familiarity with the A/D role is required
- Knowledge of Crane functionality and terminology is required
- Ability to work from Operations Manuals, Service Manuals and Capacity Charts is required
- Strong familiarity of crane maintenance and repair practices are required
