Job Description
Job Title: New Construction Fire Sprinkler Superintendent
Reports to:
Position Location: Dallas, Texas
Direct Reports: Foreman & Apprentices
Industry: Construction Service & Repair
Main Purpose of the position:
As a Fire Sprinkler Superintendent, your responsibilities are to oversee the installation of commercial/residential fire sprinkler systems and report directly to management. Also overseeing new construction installs and making sure the work is done safely, efficiently, and accurately according to blueprint specifications, fire codes, and the company’s policies and commitment to quality.
Key Accountabilities/Job Qualification:
- Knowledge of wet fire sprinklers, dry-pipe, pre-action system installations, underground fire lines and related apparatuses
- Familiar with all related tools/equipment used in the business
- Run new projects and complete systems in a timely manner and correctly
- Knowledgeable of NFPA Codes
- Knowledgeable & adhere to OSHA/Safety Standards
- Knowledgeable in the installation of steel pipe and CPVC
- Knowledge of fire pump/pre-actions/special systems/foam, etc.
- Scheduling of workers for each job: Daily, weekly, long-range schedules
- Schedule & Conduct Inspections
- Ordering/Scheduling/Expediting delivery of equipment, tools and materials
- Works with contractors to complete project with the given budget and time frame
- Resolves contract disputes & arranges any necessary change orders and tools & materials
- Responsible for overall progress of the project from start to finish
- Keeping up with procore/schedule, punches, and any changes
