What are the responsibilities and job description for the Audiologist Opportunity position at MAXIMUS?

According to a Veterans Benefits Administration compensation report, more than 1.3 million Veterans were receiving disability compensation for hearing loss, and more than 2.3 million receiving compensation for tinnitus. Prior to being able to obtain disability compensation, they need Audiologists like you to conduct a one-time, in-person, non-treatment, Veterans Affairs (VA) Compensation & Pension Exams to determine their eligibility.

Do you have a half day, full day, or even a couple of days per month to meet with Veterans in your office in to conduct these exams?

Potential exams include:

  • Hearing Loss
  • Tinnitus

Provider must be able to conduct the following tests in their Audio Booth:

  • Can you perform a Strenger Test, when applicable?
  • Can you perform an Audiogram (Puretone & Bone Conduction Thresholds)?
  • Can you perform an Acoustic Reflex Testing/Tympanometry (Ipsilateral and Contralateral Acoustic Reflexes)? Provider must be able to conduct both.
  • Can you perform Speech Discrimination?

  • Our Scheduling office will handle all of the logistics
  • Bi-Monthly payments directly to you
  • Comprehensive training before your first exam

Provider Requirements:

  • Passion for caring for our country's Veterans
  • Audiologist License (AuD, MA, MS, PhD, EdD, or MCD)
  • 2 years of experience
  • Own office where you can conduct the exams
  • Current & clean licensure
  • Proof of Individual Malpractice or Professional Liability Insurance
  • Own laptop or iPad to complete the evaluations

Typical evaluation takes approximately 60 minutes to complete and pays $95-$110/exam.

Pay: $95.00 - $110.00 per hour
