The Lead Child Support Counselor will provide case management services to an assigned case load of child support cases as well as will serve as a lead to a team of caseworkers providing expertise and guidance and will assist management as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Provide case management services to an assigned case load of child support cases and applying knowledge of policies, procedures, and state and federal regulations to progress cases through the administrative and legal system. - Serve in a lead capacity, as needed, by coordinating and directing the work of lower level staff, to include mentoring and advising, and handling complex or escalated issues. - Assist management as needed with various reporting requirements, staff evaluations and problem solving. - Establish and enforce child support orders. - Research and review records to gather information vital to cases. - Educate customers on the process and their options, and responding to customer inquiries. - Verify existing data on an automated child support system. - Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements: - High school diploma or GED required. - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred. - Minimum (2) two years' experience in case management, customer service or call center required. - Experience working in child support programs required.
