Senior Software & Test Engineer

Responsibilities

MaxLinear is seeking a Senior Software & Test Engineer to join our growing Optical Platform team. In this role, you will focus on the following: 

• Work in an agile team to develop and maintain our test infrastructure, which will be used by multiple projects and teams
• Maintain a distributed test infrastructure system
• Implement continuous delivery and/or continuous integration pipelines
• Implement defined SQA strategies
• Code repository management, code merge and quality checks, continuous integration, and automated deployment and management using tools like Jenkins, Git, and Docker
• Familiar with approaches and tooling for automated build, delivery, and release of the software
• QA of highly integrated DSP/SoC products for data center and 5G applications

Qualifications

• Solid Python programming skills
• Fluency in object-oriented programming to build and integrate solutions for automation of tasks
• Experience building and operating a DevOps CI/CD Pipeline
• Understanding of version control systems (Git, SVN, etc.), including branching and merging strategies
• Experience with continuous delivery and integration tools: Jenkins, Github, Docker
• Ability to trace hardware and network connectivity issues
• Experience in coding bash and batch file scripting
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• BS in Electrical Engineering or MS or related  5 years of experience
