Job Title: Sourcing Analyst
Job Type: 3 months Contract
Job Location: New York City, NY, USA
Work Schedule: Hybrid Job – 1 day in a week Onsite
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include assisting with the analytical work required by this group for key enterprise-wide sourcing projects (which provide cost savings and process improvement), providing internal customer service, and supporting the Team’s annual goals.
The successful candidate will work across Divisions globally, interacting regularly with stakeholders at both the Corporate and Divisional level. With significant growth potential, this position provides an opportunity to work on multiple projects simultaneously in both traditional and non-traditional spend categories across the Global Sourcing team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work with Sourcing team leaders to identify opportunities to adjust processes and spending patterns for efficiencies and cost savings; engage appropriate stakeholders in the process.
- Performs risk and financial analysis to support sourcing decisions and projects using standard team templates
- Analyze and make recommendations based on report data to improve process and mitigate risks
- Maintain and keep sourcing trackers updated to ensure reporting is accurate
- Assists cross-functional teams in performing competitive events (RFPs, auctions, etc.) and developing sourcing models in support of category strategies.
- Leverages e-Business tools, such as spend analysis, supplier intelligence, bid/auction event management and others in support of spend category management strategies.
- Supports ongoing quality improvement, including score carding of suppliers, ongoing reviews with internal customers, and staying abreast of market trends, supplier intelligence and other relevant information.
- Work to identify and implement continuous improvement in sourcing strategies and compliance
- Contributes to Paramount’s diversity and sustainability commitment through consideration of these key areas during supplier selection and negotiation, and in ongoing supplier relationships.
- Maintains process workflow and internal communications to ensure seamless reporting of team’s projects and savings achievements
- Creates dynamic models to identify levers of negotiating influence and calculate savings estimates using Global Sourcing savings framework.
- In conjunction with the lead negotiator(s), present deal summary including savings analysis to VP/SVP of GTI Team as well as SVP Sourcing Finance as part of a regular cadence.
- Monitor and audit team project documentations to drive efficiency and consistency in work processes
- Collaborates with Finance teams to ensure data accuracy
- Assists in presenting results of sensitivity analyses to key stakeholders
- Ad Hoc sourcing projects.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA a plus
- 1-2 years' experience in Sourcing, Procurement, Finance, Business/Administration, Media, or Operations environment.
Knowledge & Skill Requirements:
- Strong analytical, business process analysis and problem-solving capabilities
- Skilled with technology-based systems including spend analytics and i-procurement tools
- Ability to develop detailed work breakdown structures
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel (VBA a plus), Power BI, SharePoint, and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of Salesforce CRM tool a plus
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills with the ability to effectively work in a team environment and on an individual basis
- Ability to think strategically, interpret specifications and use sound judgment to make business decisions
- Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize projects and deal with ambiguity
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Self-motivated, takes initiative and is proactive in their approach
- Willingness to learn and understand sourcing best practices
- Experience in data analysis, financial/quantitative modelling, and business intelligence tools (Tableau).
