Position Description
Mechanically inclined and experienced, safety-conscious, responsible individuals wanted for career positions as apprentice and/or journeyman-level Door and Specialty Product Installer and Service Technician.
NO EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED FOR APPRENTICE LEVEL
Work Description (training provided):
- Lifting tools and materials weighing up to 75 lbs
- Read tape measure and laser levels
- Operate utility bed truck, forklift, and scissor-lift
- Use of hand tools, power tools, Duct Jack, A-Frame ladders and extension ladders
- Install and service rolling and sectional doors, loading dock equipment, life safety products on commercial, industrial and institutional projects throughout The Carolinas and Georgia.
Special Requirements:
- Good DMV record with less than 3 points and NO DUIs
- Customer service skills with the ability to effectively communicate with customer and represent the company in a professional manner
- Physically and mentally capable of working outdoors and lifting/carrying 75 lbs.
- Must pass a background check, MVR check and pre-employment drug screen. No felony convictions.
- Capable of staying out of town two or three nights per week on occasion.
- Show up time 5:00 a.m. with 10-12 hour work days 5 days per week – daily attendance and punctuality is critical to continued employment.
