What We Are Looking For

We are looking to add a Legal Assistant to our growing team! The right person will have a positive attitude, thrive with deadline driven work, and enjoy collaborating with others. They will have an eye for detail and always willing to learn new things.

This position is a great opportunity for someone looking to make a change in their career or interested in learning HOA law. No prior legal experience is required, we will provide a lot of training and support.

Legal Assistant Job Requirements:

  • 1-3 years ‘of collections experience, preferably in a high volume environment.
  • Understands Fair Debt Collections Practices Act.
  • Knowledge of collection procedures; garnishment experience a plus.
  • Solid skills in written and verbal communications.
  • Strong customer service skills and/or call center experience preferred.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to complete job tasks with a high degree of quality.
  • Must be good at basic math and comfortable working with numbers.
  • Aptitude to manage multiple priorities and tasks to achieve sensitive deadlines.
  • Must possess a high level of interpersonal skills including the ability to respond calmly and make rational decisions in difficult situations.
  • Work in a highly collaborative team environment.
  • Competent with technology and comfortable with changing systems.

What You Will Do

In this role, you will be responsible for handling administrative tasks related to HOA legal matters. You will be part of a team and will be responsible for collaborating with other departments. You will also work directly with attorneys so organizational skills are critical.

Responsibilities for this role include:

  • Answer incoming phone calls regarding various legal HOA matters.
  • Draft, review and revise correspondence, documents, and pleadings.
  • Comfortable with performing research or taking a deeper dive on issues that are not easily resolved.
  • Reviews, analyzes, and edits department correspondence.
