Summary of Position

Prep products for the bar according to program specifications. This position will require juicing fruits, prepping syrups and concentrates, kegging drinks, organizing liquor room and bar walk-in fridge, and other tasks. Will require time spent behind the bar helping expedite drinks, pouring kegged cocktails, beer, and wine. Assisting with guests. Running glassware, polishing, refilling juices and syrups

Roles and Responsibilities

Job duties include, although are not limited to:

• Wash and sterilize bar equipment, kitchen equipment used for bar prep, utensils, and small wares.
• Prepare garnishes for drinks.
• Preparation of all bar juices, syrup, garnishes, and cocktail kegs to maintain proper pars for the shift as to not run out of any items needed to make all drinks on the menu.
• Communicate to the manager on duty any items that are low on inventory or that we are out of.
• Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar prep area; including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves, and storage areas.
• Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to the restaurant manager.
• Restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies.
• Work behind the bar as a "pouring barback" - helping fill beer, wine, draft, and call drinks.
• Expediting for service well on busy shifts by setting up glassware and finishing garnish work on drinks before they hit the pass.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Be 21 years of age.
• Food Handlers Certificate required.
• Alcohol Awareness Training
• Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our guests.
• Have working knowledge of food, beer, wine and liquor, and common drink recipes. Working- Conditions & Expectations
• Amazing communication skills.
• Work schedule will vary, and you may be asked to work overtime.
• Work in the bar area, as well as kitchen or food prep areas.
• Cleaning of dishware will require long periods of time with hands in water.

• Follow safety and sanitation rules and laws at all times.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
• Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Repetitive motion of cutting, slicing, and juicing (up to 8 hours) with minimal breaks.
