Mayday Manufacturing is a leading Aerospace manufacturing company in Denton, Texas that provides a dynamic work environment with cutting edge manufacturing technology. Our company supports the growth and future of the Aerospace industry and is looking to add a 1st shift First Article Inspection Specialist position to our team to contribute to our advancement.
Position Overview:
Training is provided to understand drawing, specification and customer requirements. Upon completion of training, you will have the ability to:
Navigate internal Company Software and Database systems
Fill out AS9102 First Article Inspection Report (FAIR) and other dimensional inspection reports
Balloon Drawings
Interpret Drawings, Specifications, Customer Requirements
Works and communicates with various departments including: Planning, Quality Planning, QC Inspection and Delegated Source Inspection.
Minimal day to day supervision is provided upon completion of training and daily work flow is provided.
Weekly/Monthly performance reviews as required
Duties and Responsibilities:
Utilizes drawings, specifications, manufacturing router, and various customer documents to populate First Article Inspection Report (FAIR/AS9102)
Utilizes software to balloon drawing requirements and export to AS9102 template
Creates and maintains all first article reports per AS9102 drawing and customer’s requirements
Creates First Articles utilizing different software as required, such as Net-Inspect, Enovia, Excel and Inspection Xpert.
Uploads completed FAIRs into database
Perform other incidental and related duties as assigned.
Training to Export Compliance will be required.

Moderate general computer skills using MS Office products: Word, Excel, PDF
Education / Licensing Requirements:
High school degree or equivalent.
Access to information needed for Duties and Responsibilities will be restricted as needed in accordance with the Technology Control Plan.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a typical office setting.
Ability to meet physical demands of the job which include, but are not limited to: sitting or standing for extended periods of time at a desk using a computer & phone.
Hearing and vision must be corrected within normal range.
This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Non-U.S. persons selected must meet eligibility requirements for access to export-restricted information as defined under the ITAR/EAR.
